Meet Alejandro – The Coffee & Numbers Guy

Meet Alejandro – The Coffee & Numbers Guy

Hi,

If you’ve ever joined one of our coffee sessions, exchanged an email with us, or called our phone, chances are you’ve already met Alejandro—at least virtually! But I thought it was time to properly introduce (or reintroduce) someone who plays a huge role in what we do—my amazing brother, Alejandro.

For years, Alejandro thrived in a world of numbers. Spreadsheets, calculations, mergers & acquisitions—that was his thing. But everything changed when he moved back to El Salvador, and our dad asked him to get involved in our family’s coffee farming legacy.

What started as simple curiosity quickly turned into an Aha! moment. Alejandro fell head over heels for coffee—every detail, every process. He earned his Q Grader certification, became an expert at roasting, learned the entire value chain of the coffee business, and spent the next 10 years transforming the farm. From implementing sustainable practices to experimenting with new coffee varieties and processing methods, he helped bring our coffee to the specialty market.

Now, even from afar, he still supports the farm while wearing many hats at Crickle Creek—because, let’s be real, that’s how we roll! As our coffee & numbers expert, Alejandro ensures every bean we source and roast meets the highest standards. He also keeps our finances in check with his meticulous (and slightly OCD) approach—because someone has to balance all the coffee-fueled decisions we make!

Oh, and if you’re wondering what it’s like working with family… let’s just say our gatherings sometimes feel like board meetings—only with really good coffee. ☕😆 And if you ever need a spreadsheet for literally anything, Alejandro probably has one ready before you even ask.

When he’s not cupping coffee or crunching numbers, you’ll find him lost in a book, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, or camping—always chasing his next adventure.

Next time you enjoy a cup of Crickle Creek coffee, know that Alejandro had a hand in making it exceptional.

Happy brewing,
 Adriana
